The 2018 Commemoration
Tickets are now on sale for the 2018 Commemoration Diggers Ball to be held at the Wingham Memorial Town Hall on Saturday, 29 September. Presented by the Manning Valley Historical Society and proudly supported by the Wingham RSL Sub Branch, the Ball will commemorate the Centenary of the end of WW1. It will also pay tribute to all the Defense and Peace-Keeping service men and women up to the present day.
There will be music, dancing and entertainment reflecting 100 years of change. Prizes for best costumes highlighting a 100 years of various fashions. Diggers Balls were held every year from the opening of the Town Hall in 1924 until the late 1950`s. The 2018 Commemoration Ball will be the first one since that time. Join us in this Never-To-Be-Repeated extra special community event. You will not be disappointed!
Numbers are limited, so please book early. Tickets are $40 per person. Please see booking details on the poster attached. Come on your own or bring friends. We will find you a place. Or book tables for eight people.

AT THE DIGGERS BALL
The Manning Valley Historical Society Diggers Ball Committee is delighted to announce that the popular “That`s Rhythm” Band will be leading the musical way at the 2018 Commemoration Diggers Ball at the Wingham Memorial Town Hall on 29 September.
Based in the lower Hunter Valley, “That`s Rhythm” is a band of four professional musicians, with a collective history of more than 50 years in the music industry. They regularly perform in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the North Coast regions and have a strong following of enthusiastic audiences. With a diverse and versatile repertoire for dancing and easy listening, their music appeals to all ages. The four piece group features Keith Shortland on guitar/banjo/vocals, Warren Cliff on keyboards, Ean Martin on synthesizer and Allan Greedy on drums.
