A Night at the Flix is a SHINE Festival event hosted by the volunteers of the Manning Valley Historical Society with the support of Arts Mid North Coast. It follows on from the Society’s hugely successful Night in the Museum evenings held in 2019 prior to the Covid pandemic.
This year’s event will cover six areas of local history using a wealth of stories and pictures uncovered by our researchers over the years. MVHS volunteers will dress up in period costumes to take you back in time, presenting historic photos and stories over two 40-minute sessions, with a supper interval in-between.
“There will be some laughs, a bit of drama and lots of local history”, said MVHS Vice President, Robyn Greenaway, “It promises to be an interesting and entertaining evening”.
Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s event will be held at Wingham High School’s multi-purpose center at 7pm, Friday 16th April. “The multi-purpose center has outstanding facilities, which make it an ideal venue for such an event. We’re really grateful that Mr Ivers (Wingham High School’s Principal) has allowed us to use the center”, said Robyn.
